We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Kalkulator/Bid Specialist/Estimator Engineer to join our headquarters in Oslo. You will play a critical role in analyzing project requirements and preparing competitive tenders for high-profile construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project requirements, specifications, and design documents to determine necessary materials, labor, and equipment.
- Generate detailed cost estimates considering market conditions, location, and project complexity.
- Evaluate Expressions of Interest, PQQs, and Tender documentation to guide the business on submission requirements.
- Own the technical response for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ), Bids, and Tenders.
- Conduct quantity take-offs based on design documents to assess required materials and labor.
- Collaborate with the Bid Manager/Coordinator to define bidding strategies and prepare technical solution papers for internal approval.
- Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to gather insights for comprehensive estimates.
- Collate methodologies and draft cohesive tender submissions aligned with bid strategy and deadlines.
- Gather and analyze data on materials, labor rates, and equipment costs while staying informed on market trends.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent documented experience as a Cost Estimator.
- Experience: Background in project management and procurement; proven track record in civil construction and/or building projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ByggOffice, ISY Linker, BIM software, SharePoint, and the MS Office suite.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction market.
- Languages:
- Required: Norwegian and English.
- Desirable: Spanish.
